Hong Kong parents often tell Ready Go Mum the same story: one arm for baby, one for the nappy bag—and somehow you still need to unclip a carrier and fold a stroller before the car park barrier opens. If most of your trips are car → short walk → back to car, a true 2-in-1 rear-facing infant seat that becomes a pushchair can cut that friction. Today’s guide centres on Ready Go’s Doona X infant car seat / stroller (genuine Hong Kong import).
This is not another long “how to choose any car seat” article—for law and age stages, read: How to choose a safe child car seat in HK. Here we focus on how to use Doona X day to day: car install, mode switch, taxi/airport tips, and FAQ.

Local trips are dense: tight car parks, long walks to the mall, clinic hops. Three common stressors:
Doona X’s promise is one unit that works as a rear-facing car seat and, once the wheels are deployed, as a stroller (always follow the manufacturer manual). It is not magic: long hikes, huge shopping loads, or children outside the size limits need other gear. Limits are below.

The Doona X ISO-Fix base (about HK$1,880) is for vehicles with ISOFIX anchors, used only rear-facing with Doona X. Page highlights:
No ISOFIX? Use the vehicle seat belt only as shown in the official manual and your car handbook. If unsure, WhatsApp +852 57418331 or walk through the manual step by step—do not guess the belt path.

Hong Kong heat is real. For cooling-pad options that fit many strollers/seats, see our POLED AirLuv comparison. Never add a pad that changes harness path or blocks SIP—check the manufacturer first.
Showroom note: Kwun Tong store (7/F, Unit A, Room B-1, Hoi Yue Industrial Centre, 177 Hoi Bun Road; Mon–Fri 12:30–19:00, Sat 12:30–16:00; closed Sundays & public holidays) does not currently display Doona X for try-push. Check colours and stock on the Doona category or WhatsApp +852 57418331; you can still pick up prepaid orders in store (no booking needed for general pickup during open hours). Shipping notes in the FAQ: free JD delivery from HK$450, free SF locker/station pickup from HK$299, otherwise about HK$32; 2% off with FPS.

Important: This is a memory aid, not a substitute for the Doona manual or your vehicle handbook. No medical claims; no crash-outcome guarantees.
Belt-only installs: follow the exact belt path in the manual. First time? Practise at home with two adults and the diagrams; WhatsApp +852 57418331 if unsure (no Doona X floor demo in store right now).

The time-saver Hong Kong parents want: baby can stay harnessed in the shell (within what the manual allows) while you lift the whole unit and deploy the wheels.

Daily safety notes
Mall / wet market hops Ideal for park → 10–20 minute walk → return. Storage is limited—wear the nappy bag; avoid hanging heavy loads on the handle.
Taxi / Uber Ask whether ISOFIX or a correct seat-belt path is possible. Many taxis lack ISOFIX. If you cannot install exactly as the manual shows, choose another compliant option. Practise on your own car first—never learn roadside in the rain.
Airport days Great for “land and push,” but airline rules for cabin vs checked car seats vary. Check the carrier, keep proof of purchase and the manual, and budget time for connections.
Clinic / vaccine days The deep recline helps a sleepy baby while you wait—still keep the harness on.
Q1: What size child fits Doona X? A: Rear-facing, height 40–85 cm, max 13 kg. Outgrow any limit → move to the next suitable seat/stroller.
Q2: Do I need the ISOFIX base? A: If your car has ISOFIX, Ready Go Mum strongly recommends the ISOFIX X base for speed and clear indicators. Sold separately; confirm stock at checkout, or WhatsApp +852 57418331.
Q3: Can it replace a full-size stroller for all-day hiking? A: It is built for seat + short-trip pushing. Long trails, huge baskets, or lots of stairs may still need a lightweight umbrella stroller as a partner.
Q4: Two adults, two kids—workflow tip? A: Leave the base installed in the car. One adult lifts Doona X into stroller mode; the other handles bags—so baby always has a safe place to be.
Q5: Can I see colours / try a push in store? A: Doona X is not on display for try-push right now. Check colours and stock on the Doona category or WhatsApp +852 57418331 before ordering; genuine import, and you can pick up prepaid orders at the Kwun Tong store.
Q6: Shipping & FPS? A: See the FAQ—free JD from HK$450, free SF pickup from HK$299, else ~HK$32; 2% FPS discount.
Doona X suits Hong Kong families who live in the car and hate double gear: i-Size rear-facing seat, three reclines, lift-and-push when you arrive. Stay safe by:
